Herzliche Einladung zum zweiten Kölner Tattoo Circus

Was ist ein Tattoo Circus?
Der Tattoo Circus ist ein DIY-Festival, das unsere Aufmerksamkeit für Gefangenschaften schärfen und Gefangene unterstützen möchte. Das geht so: In einer Reihe von Veranstaltungen werden verschiedene Themen rund um Freiheitsentzüge vorgestellt und diskutiert, während Tätowierer*innen so viel Farbe wie möglich verstechen, gegen Spenden für solidarische Anti-Repressionsarbeiten. Das Festival nicht kommerziell, nicht elitär und nicht konkurrenzorientiert. In zahlreichen Städten und Ländern fanden Tattoo Circus‘ bereits statt, letztes Jahr zum ersten Mal in Köln. Dieses Jahr gehen wir in die zweite Runde.

Was erwartet euch?
Lasst euch tätowieren und besucht die Veranstaltungen rund um Knäste und andere Freiheitsentzüge, Anti-Repressionsarbeiten und transformative Gerechtigkeiten. Abends wird getanzt. Es gibt Getränke und Essen, ihr könnt an Gefangene Postkarten schreiben oder Audiogrüße aufnehmen, euch über Zustände in Staftvollzügen der Kölner Umgebung informieren, in einer Infoecke in Zines und Büchern stöbern oder euch in einer Siebdruckwerkstatt ausprobieren.

Wie funktioniert das mit dem Tätowieren?
Sobald die Tore des AZ geöffnet sind (s. Zeitplan), könnt ihr Termine für eure*r gewünschte*n Tätowierer*in machen. Wenn du eine eigene Tattoo-Idee hast, bring sie gerne aufgezeichnet mit – das kann natürlich kein Rücken-Tattoo-Total werden, aber kleine eigene Ideen sind bestimmt umsetzbar. Ansonsten stellen die Künstler*innen eigene „Wanna-Do‘s“ aus, unter denen du dir dein liebstes Motiv aussuchen kannst. Dann wird gestochen.

Wie ist das mit dem Geld?
Wir geben Spendenempfehlungen für den Einlass, das Tätowieren und andere Angebote. Das gesammelte Geld unterstützt unsere Anit-Knast-Arbeit.

We happily invite you to the second Tattoo Circus in Cologne
12 – 14 of May 2022 in the AZ Cologne

What’s a Tattoo Circus?
It‘s a DIY festival for raising awareness of imprisonments and support for prisoners: A variety of events presents and discusses various themes associated with restrictions of liberties, while tattoo artists ink as many people as possible on donations dedicated to anti-repression work. The festival is non-commercial, non-elitist and non-competitive. Tattoo Circus' have already taken place in numerous cities and countries, last year for the first time in Cologne. We are ready for the next round.

What to await?
Get inked and visit various presentations and discussions on prisons and other imprisonments, anti-repression works and transformative justices. In the evening we will dance. There will be food and drinks, you can write postcards or record audio greetings to prisoners, learn about conditions in prisons near Cologne, browse zines and books in an info corner, or try your hands on silk-screen printing.

How do I get my tattoo?
From when the AZ doors open (see timetable) you can make appointments for the tattoo artist of your choice. If you have own tattoo ideas you may bring drafts - this cannot be a back-tattoo-total, obviously, but small own wishes are certainly realizable. Otherwise, the artists present "Wanna-Do's" from which you can choose your favorite. Then it's time for the ink.

How about the money?
We recommend amounts for donations for the entrance, tattooing and other offerings. The money raised supports our anit-prison-work.
